The Ultimate Bali Adventure
Bali | indonesia
An unforgettable experience to discover the most gorgeous and authentic sides of the Island of Gods.
STep into the wonderful and unique culture of bali, island of gods.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath and smell the perfume of tropical life. Nestled in the middle of Indonesia, Bali is its most famous island. Although being very popular and developed, the local Hindu culture is very strong and can be found at every corner. There are many hidden gems and we will bring you there!
You wake up with offerings at your doorstep and walk into colourful ceremonies every day. Temples are all around. They rise in the middle of the ocean, in the jungles, on lakes and dizzy cliffs! Some are very famous, other ones are attended by locals only and all of them are magnificent.
Outstanding rice terraces surround the central area of Ubud and spread until the UNESCO heritage site of Jatiluwih. Here you can get lost in the green observing the daily work of the Balinese farmers and walking in the paths that wind through the terraces. A bucolic environment to find mind-peace and relaxation.
The world capital of surfing, Bali counts with some of the best waves of the planet! The ocean is powerful and rough in the surfing beaches and calm and crystal clear in the other locations. The underwater world is gorgeous and alive. Swim with turtles and manta rays or enjoy a drink in paradise on one of the quiet whites beaches of the Gili Islands.
Rinse in the fresh waters of one of the many waterfalls of the island! Hidden in lush jungles and secret caves, they offer a beautiful escape from the busy daily life. We love to go there on the first morning light when the sun rays come out of the trees and give to the surrounding a sense of pure magic!
Get lost in one of the vibrant local markets or go to huge malls and outlet to find the best deals on world-famous brands! Bali is famous for its outstanding house-decors, wood carving, and quality clothes fabrics. Don’t forget to bargain! Local people love it and you might be able to come out with the deals of a lifetime!
With a huge choice of delicious restaurants and cafes, Bali satisfies all tastes. Eat local or eat fancy: there is something for every choice. DJs from all over the globe come to Bali to perform in its latest club and festivals. The clubs’ locations are absolutely stunning and count on beach and clifftop parties like the ones you only see in movies!

Surrounded by rice paddies and with long black volcanic beaches, Canggu is the place where the traditional culture meets the modern chic side of Bali. Home of the many digital nomad expats who moved here not many years ago, this area hosts all the trendiest restaurants, cafe and clubs. The famous temple of Tanah Lot, which rises from the water, is easily reachable from here.
Cultural centre of Bali, Ubud is a real gem surrounded by lush jungle and rice terraces. Here is where the traditional crafts and dances are originally from. Hindu temples and shrines are in every corner and you can find whatever you need in the lively and colourful local markets! Join a yoga or meditation class to get a spiritual experience this wonderful place is famous for!
On the very far south of Bali, on the tip of the Bukit Peninsula, rises Uluwatu. Famous worldwide for its legendary waves, you can watch from the cliffs the pro-surfers catching big waves! The beaches of the peninsula are white and gorgeous and the water is crystal clear. The Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple offers every night traditional Kecak Dance shows with an outstanding sunset on the cliff as a background.
Less famous than the other Bali destinations, Amed is an off the beaten track gem located on the north-east side of the island. Renown for the magnificent snorkelling, the town rises at the bottom of the active volcano Mount Agung! Jump on a boat on a fishing or snorkelling trip or use the town as a base to explore the Mother Temple of Bali!
White beaches, crystal water, trendy restaurants and pure relax! The three small islands of the Gili already belong to the neighbour Lombok. Very busy but still gorgeous, their waters conserve spectacular coral formations and turtles are just a few meters from the shore. This is the perfect place to get a Diving licence or join a snorkelling excursion during the day!
NUSA LEMBONGAN & PENIDA
A short speedboat ride from Bali, there are the 3 islands of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Cenigan and Nusa Penida. This last one is the wildest and most outstanding one. Swim with manta rays or take an island tour to the scenic T-rex cliff of Kelingking and its hidden beach, while basing yourself in one of the lovely hotels overlooking Bali on the more modern Lembongan!

Our trip to Bali organized by Giulia was simply perfect! Thanks to her advice, we visited the whole island discovering beautiful places without ever giving up a little adventure. The best was the boat trip on the islands of Komodo and Flores, an unforgettable experience into the wildest nature!
Giulia is the perfect guide: clever and very funny!
My fiancé and I spent two weeks in Bali. In order to organize the trip, we contacted Giulia who, based on our preferences, designed a “tailor-made” itinerary and advised us about the experiences/excursions we could do in each place. She also organized the transfers to the Gili islands which are spectacular. She was really a very important resource and thanks to her advice we were able to have an experience in complete safety and tranquillity without missing anything!
I was in Bali twice before to meet Giulia and organize with her my third trip on this awesome island. Everything went smooth, thanks to her we discovered some new great spots, good food and some tricks to live at the top our experience on one of the best place on earth. Highly recommended!
When is the best time to visit Bali?
Bali is a year-round destination, however, the best months to visit are April to November, during the dry season. From December to March you should expect some tropical rain showers (especially during December/January). In February and March, it usually rains during the night and the lush jungle turns super green!
When should I arrive?
We will customise your trip for you! Arrive and leave any day you want and choose the itinerary and the length of your stay!
Do I need a Visa?
In Indonesia, the majority of nationalities can get a free visa on arrival for 30 days. The passport needs to have at least 6 months of validity. Double-check with the Indonesia embassy of your country about the possibility of visa on arrival and other requirements.
Do I need travel insurance for the trip?
Travel Insurance is highly recommended. Better safe than Sorry!
The World Nomads is our personal recommendation and one of the most complete ones. Find it here
How to stay connected during the trip?
Bali is famous to be a Digital Nomads destination. For this reason, you will be able to find super-fast wifi at every corner!
To stay always connected, we recommend purchasing a local Telkomsel SIM Card. It can be bought at the Bali airport as soon as you walk out from arrivals. It costs around US$10 for the SIM card loaded with enough phone credit & data for the whole trip.
Can I add Surf lessons?
Of course, you can! Bali is renown worldwide as prime surf destination! There is no better place on Earth to learn how to slide on waves! Please let us know which is your surfing level and how many lessons would you like to take!
Can I do Yoga?
Bali is also a spiritual centre. Here the ancients yoga traditions meet with a cosmopolitan spiritual community. Ubud is the Indonesian capital of yoga. From Ashtanga to Vinyasa, Yin and Hatha, Tantric yoga, Kirtan, Cacao Ceremonies, Ecstatic Dances and more are waiting for you!
Is the Sliding Chronicles team on site to assist me?
